The Smiley Face

I missed 'Smiley Face' last night. *sigh**

Sms at 9.28pm: moN, if can go out see the sky.. The moon & 2 stars around the moon. It's showing a 'smiling face'.. Quite special.

I looked through all my house windows, went out to search, turned everywhere... but to my dismay, Mr. Moon was no where to be found. No smiles from the sky to me.

Only this morning did I realised that 'Smiley Face' was a phenomenon which happens once in every 48yrs... & I didn't get to see it with my own naked eye! *cries**

What made the Smiley Face's eyes aren't exactly 2 bright stars. It was Venus & Jupiter. The smiley face is composed by the placement of Venus, Jupiter and the slender crescent of the Moon.

Managed to grab a picture & also a drawing of it from my friends :):)

See~ Isn't it Magnificently SPECTACULAR?!

... Waahhhh~ AWESOME!!!

& to top it up, the adorable illustration!

... will wait for the next 'Smiling face' at 74! (someone pls remind me by then...)

...

I'm into my 4th week at office. Having to drag myself to work, trying hard to do assignments and prepare for presentation isn't something nice to think about. Perhaps, I'm still not accustomed to the life here; or maybe I just lack self-discipline.

I miss Stress; I miss being Busy and... I M-I-S-S Client Site!!! *sob sob**

Should've taken a day off just to sleep!

'Our Agreement'

I had to post this as it is my 1st friendly agreement written on paper!

It all started when my car's butt got kissed in a jam; bout 2weeks ago. My small little kancil needed to go to the workshop to get a new butt (bumper) and I needed transport to get to work.

To cut the story short, my dear colleague was kind enough to come all the way to my housing area to pick me up. But I was 'um ho yi si'. So, I offered to buy lunch in return. My offer wasn't accepted Verbally, Pinky Promise was said to be too childish and Web Email was so happened to be down... Hence, I had to resort to force agreement on paper!

This was 'Our Agreement'... Written, Signed & Sealed!

My colleague stamped his thumbprint on the paper using some sticky substance found in the refrigerator; eeeuUU~ Gross!

It couldn't really be seen. So signature was forced upon. Wakakakakaa I'm bad, I know :p

Finally, agreement SEALED!

Picture was taken just incase it is secretly destroyed before agreement is being carried out!

In the end, 'Our Agreement' was fulfilled without any dispute. And I guess I should do this more often to this nice, humble colleague & friend of mine. (...more agreements to come ok?!...)

Anyway, Thanks pal. I appreciate it! *HuggsSS* ;)

Church On Fire

On the 29th July, 8pm... I received an sms.

"Church on fire now. Please activate prayer link." (...not the exact words...)

& there goes... Gosh~ really ar? okkk... forward sms! pray pray!... keeping my fingers crossed.

The fire was real. It burnt up our video room. All our video equipment was gone, our ministry bulletin board gone! the place was all wet, soot everywhere!

But above all, HE knew. HE saw. and HE took care of it!

I rarely testify, but this is one that I know was truly the hands of God.

Why? Read on...

1) A fully equipped fire brigade was petrolling around the neighbourhood when the fire broke out.
(Have you ever heard of fire brigades doing their rounds? ...FULLY Equipped somemore!)

2) No one knew about the fire. All church staff went home, guards were unaware. Fire chief was in the fire brigade and he saw the smoke... and he instantly recognises that it was a fire.
(Fire experts. They are able to identify what kind of smoke was that!)

3) Fire chief quickly calls back to their quarters thinking that someone must have called and reported... but NO ONE answered the call!
(Gosh~ imagine if we tried calling for help... sure nothing but ashes left!)

4) When no one picked the call, without hesitation, Fire chief headed towards the smoke. Fire alarm & sprinklers went off just as the fire brigade reached church.
(How often do you hear that firemen reaches before fire alarm goes off?)

5) Just as the firemen arrived and alarm went off, the guards only noticed the fire. Fyi, the guards were Napalese but so happen, the supervisor was there too and he was a local. The supervisor then called & informed the church staffs.
(...it would be difficult for the Napalese guards to call the church staffs as they weren't local)

6) Firemen did their job fast & thank God it was only the video room.
(Video room was a level higher than the wooden flooring & curtains were by the side... One can only imagine what would happen if the curtains caught fire or if the video room was the same level as the flooring!)

7) Oh! Not forgetting, the office was on the roof. Thank God, above the video room was just the roof and nothing else. The church office was just right beside it!
(Someone told me lil' Lynette was praying "God, not the church office... not our cabin... please Pleasee PLeasSEEE!!! Well, HE did answer her prayer! weeEEE!!!)

8) On the night itself, the forensic team came and it was no other than the Fire Chief himself! He found the cause of it & cleaning work progressed the morning after.
(It usually takes 21days or more to get a fire forensic team to investigate and close the case before they allow cleaning work to be done. And this only took them few hours!)

9) Cleaning and repair work began the next day... From what I heard, the whole sanctuary was soaked with 1.5 inches of water and soot covered the whole place; chairs, equipments, ceiling... And guess what?!!! Saturday, 2nd August 4:30pm, evening service commenced as usual.
(3.5 days of cleaning & basic repairs. All I can say is... WOW!!! Super fast cleaning & super fast repairs! Trust me, not easy. Soot = really fine black particles. I was there cleaning our little room & its amazing how it got in; through the small openings of the closed door. eeEEE!!!)

10) Our ministry bulletin board was the one and only board collapsed to give way to the firemen to get into the sanctuary. And our pastor calmly told us... "Our board no more already! New board for new Beginning!"
(*pengsan* hahahahaa)

I took pics of the work-in-progress & finished 'look' on Saturday...

Renovation Work-In-Progress on Saturday, 3pm. The place was all still dusty...

Look at the ceiling! If you haven't notice, the left ones are whiter than those on the right hand side.

In just 1.5hrs, at 4:30pm... video room was sealed, floors vacuumed and chairs arranged to get ready for evening service

All in 3.5 days! Unbelievable right???

Well, that was the story told from trusty resources. but above all, I DO believe its truly HE who knows all & is in control. I can't deny it... really.

Coincidence. You would say. To me, definitely not. 10 worr?! How can there be 10 coincidence at the same time, same place. Definitely no way.

It's a Miracle!

Love is more than just a game for two
Two in love can make it
Take my heart and please don't break it
Love was made for me and you

Renee Oldstead - A Love That Will Last

I want a little something more
Don't want the middle or the one before
I don't desire a complicated past
I want a love that will last

say that you love me
Say I'm the one
Don't kiss and hug me and then try to run
I don't do drama
My tears don't fall fast
I want a love that will last

[Chorus"]
I don't want a just a memory
give me forever
Don't even think about saying good-bye
'Cause I want just one love to be enough
And remain in my heart till I die

So call me romantic
Oh I guess that's so
There's something more that you oughta know
I'll never leave you
So don't even ask
I want a love that will last

Forever
I want a love that will last
I want a love that will last

[Chorus]

So there's just a little more that I need
I wanna share all the air that you breathe
I'm not the kinda girl to complicate the past
I want a love that will last

Forever
I want a love the love that last
Always
I just want a love that will last
Want a love that will last

Discovery...

I found and learnt something interestingly new today! It was by accident and the next thing I knew is... I went "What happened to my screen??!!!"

Try this on your keyboard and see what happens:
CTRL + ALT + Right arrow

Play around with the other arrow keys... oh~ and the mouse as well!

Fun right??!!! Now you can view things sofisticatedly in four different angles! hehehhh =p

Tired...

I'm so so so tired!!! Since 2nd day of cny till now... I'm stuck working till the wee hours in the morning nearly everyday. Believe or not, I saw sunrise AGAIN; same area... different building... at 20 floors higher than the previous. Aihh~!!!

I didn't know that it would be THAT bad until when I realise that I was trying ReaLLY hard NOT to doze off from the tiredness of my day job everyday. **Seems like the reward agreed doesn't seem to make me feel charged up even One Single Bit! **

But what to do??? Sudah REGRET kaukau but promise is a still a promise marr... got to get the work done by hook or by crook :(

Lesson learnt:
1) $$ is NOT my source of motivation
2) NO more 2nd time
3) REST is what I NEED

TWO more shitty weeks & it'll be the END~ I hope...

*keeping my fingers crossed*

CNY. Hometown...

Most people will be going back to their hometowns today after work. How I wish to have one too... some place that I can head back to once a while, get caught in massive jams, sing those "balik kampung" songs and really mean it & bla blaa blaahh.

Being local is great but then when one stays here for 25yrs and celebrates all festive occasions here, it is definitely a mundane thing. Going back to my hometown = PJ --> KL, KL --> PJ. Sad right?!!! Nothing feels special anymore... maybe that's why I don't feel the rush and excitement of taking extra leaves, going shopping, packing and getting ready to go home nor even celebrating this CNY.

My friends are all now starting to bid me goodbye & wishing Happy CNY already. I can imagine how short will my msn online list be tomorrow onwards. yikes~

I want to have a hometown to travel back to~ but how??? live out by myself? work overseas? find a boyfriend/husband with a hometown? Ideas, anyone?!! I'm desperate! wahahahAA~

Anyway, Happy Chinese New Year to all of you... take care & drive carefully ya *hugGzZZ*

Pleasant Surprise

Hey buddy...

I don't know what to say~ the news was so sO SO sudden that I was left practically speechless! When you called and tell me bout it, all I could do was to laugh, laugh, laugh and continue laughing!!! Sorry pal~ couldn't help it man! It's either I laugh or I'll go "Don't Be Dumb!" so, choose... kekekekeee

A very pleasant SURPRISE & I'm really glad for you... really~ :):)

Hope you didn't mind the questions I threw back at you just now. I just wanted to know that you are Alright and Thinking Straight! hehehehhh Few months only, and I guess things do change fairly fast huhh??? It's puzzling at times, but I think I'm beginning to understand parts and pieces of how the opposite gender brains work. Nothing bad~ it's just me and my non-understandable reasoning.

I know you are now flyingg wayyYYY uPP HIGHHH~ OveR the SKiES, OvER the HoRiZON!!! Continue flying larr~ but remember... I'll smack you back to reality if you go overboard! hehehhh Well hey... that's what friends are for right right rightttt??? =p

LISTEN/READ: Treat her right... don't bully her... Appreciate her!!! (If you don't adhere to any of this, you'll definitely get it from me)

Happy paktoh-ing and bring her to our gatherings ya! :):)

Words vs Actions

Let me ask you...

What logic is this when A tells you upfront "I don't sayang B" yet on the other hand, A has plans to get something expensive for B's upcoming birthday and asks your opinion on which gift to get for B. Hmmm, funny right?

What is it that A is trying to impose here huhh? What is A trying to say?

Ain't those words and actions contradicting one another? I don't understand. That's why I'm asking...

Wo Yao Xue Hua Yu!

It's such a privilege for those who can converse in Mandarin... EVeN MoRE if one can read and write those complicated characters! I heard news today that this pretty fresh grad newbie colleague of mine has just been selected to go to China for requirements gathering replacing Wilson, my sifu.

Whoaa~ Lucky her!... Aihh~ Sad for my sifu... *feeling quite disappointed on behalf of him*

He was supposed to go initially but plans changed cos they needed someone who is able to write and present the FRS in chinese. Lucky lucky luckkyy her.

Indeed Chinese IS IMPORTANT~!!!

I want to learn Mandarin!... Wo Yao Xue Hua Yu!!!

Ugly People!

After a week, and now another incident of some people with the same UGLY Attitude... this time around, it was during exit! It was just so happened that this fella was behind me and later on only did I realise that he passed the bar right after me, just before it comes down. From the rear view mirror, he was soOO close. Of course what I see couldn't be wrong... cos IF he hadn't tailed me out, how in the world would he be THAT close to my car's butt??!!! It's logical right?... the input-ing of ticket into the machine and waiting for the bar to go up~ it'll easily take about 5 secs!

I've seen these stuff at tolls before and it is annoying... even more so at a shopping complex! It's not like that fella have no $$!!??? He was driving a nice Honda Getz ok... what kind of people is this man!!?? Shittyyy...

Agreed~ blessing in disguise for me last week... BUT a real blessing for that fella!

Wednesday 9 January 2008

Thanks & No Thanks...

I was on the phone when I walked to the autopay machine to pay my parking ticket. As usual, all I keep reminding myself was to get the receipt for claims. After paying, I went off and headed for the exit... only did I realise later that I my ticket is NOT with me! I searched everywhere in my car but tarak ticket! I quickly backed off while there isn't any car behind and drove back to where I parked hoping to find it there. But no luck... I then got off my car and rushed towards the autopay machine and to my comfort, I saw something familiar at a distance.

When I got there, I was relieved... but then after a second or two later, I realised that it wasn't my ticket and it has not been paid yet. I paid RM1 for it, then as I walked back to my car I was kind of happy but then was disappointed my that person's attitude. It was only like a buffer of 3 minutes only and that person switched my ticket!

In my heart, I was saying "What is this man! RM1 also so susah to pay meh?" "It's not like you stayed for long and have to pay RM13 or what!"... "Aihh~ sad Malaysians!" "But at least that the fella left his/her ticket there... and I should be thankful"

Conclusion --> Thanks & no thanks from me to you! =p
